Move Out Checklist

An itemization of your Security Deposit and a check will be sent within 30-days of move out.  Please make sure to provide Renegade Rentals with your new address. Only damages, beyond normal wear and tear, will be deducted from your security deposit. 

Insufficient cleaning and not disposing of all personal property are the leading causes of lost security funds.  For your convenience, here is a checklist to assist you in moving out.

FLOORS

1. Mop all tile floors, clean grout
2. Wipe down baseboards and molding

WALLS

1. Wash down walls, especially areas above heaters and vents and floor molding
2. Brush out cobwebs from corners and ceilings
3. Wipe down switch plates
4. Remove all nails and Command strips
5. Clean ceiling fan blades

WINDOWS & DOORS

1. Clean windows inside and out, including tracks
2. Clean window blinds
3. Wipe down interior and exterior doors, frames, and knobs
4. Clean glass on interior and exterior of patio doors

KITCHEN

1. Clean sink and countertops
2. Wipe cabinets in and out, as well as shelves
3. Thoroughly clean stovetop and oven
4. Remove grease, dust, and dirt from exhaust fan, including the filter underneath. Replace filter and light bulb if necessary.
5. Wipe inside, underneath and behind refrigerator

BATHROOMS

1. Clean all mildew and mold
2. Sanitize bathtub, shower, sink and toilet
3. Clean vanity, shelves, and mirrors
4. Wipe down inside of drawers and cabinets
5. Wash all tiles and clean grout
6. Clean exhaust fans

ADDITIONAL ITEMS

1. Make sure smoke detectors are working – replace batteries if necessary
2. Replace burnt out light bulbs
3. Clean HVAC vents, replace HVAC filter
4. Wipe inside, underneath and behind washer and dryer
5. Clean all light fixtures inside and out
6. Clear all belongings from cabinets, closets, drawers, etc.
7. Remove all outdoor belongings from patio, yard, etc.
8. Clean patio areas (front and side)
9. Take out any leftover trash
